Terms of Service
Effective date · May 27, 2026
These Terms govern your use of huntique, a location-based real-time chat and community service. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
huntique is a progressive web app (PWA) that lets users draw a circular geofence on a map and host a real-time chat room and feed open only to people physically located inside that geofence. Some rooms are public; some require an entry code or a host's approval. Rooms expire automatically after 6 hours, 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days unless the host has a permanent-room entitlement.
2. Account creation and eligibility
- Accounts are created via Google Sign-In. One account per person; impersonation, transfer, or sharing of an account is prohibited.
- You must be at least 14 years old to use huntique. You must be at least 18 to access rooms flagged as nightlife or adult-oriented.
- You are responsible for the security of the Google account used to sign in and for all activity that occurs under your huntique account.
- We may refuse, suspend, or terminate any account that violates these Terms or applicable law.
3. Location-based features
- Location features require your browser-level location permission. Without it, you cannot join geofenced rooms.
- Your GPS coordinates are used only to verify whether you are inside a room's geofence and are not persisted to durable storage. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Spoofing your location (e.g., using GPS-spoofing apps, virtual location tools, or a VPN combined with a fake position) to enter a room you are not physically in is a serious violation and will result in an immediate ban.
- GPS is not perfectly accurate. We use sensible tolerances, but we make no guarantee that you will always be able to enter a room you should be eligible for or that ineligible users will never enter.
4. User-generated content
- You retain ownership and copyright in the messages, posts, comments, and images you upload ("your content").
- By posting your content, you grant huntique a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, cache, and transmit your content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- You can delete your own content at any time. It will also be deleted automatically when the room or post lifecycle ends.
- You are solely responsible for your content and must have all rights necessary to post it.
5. Prohibited conduct
The following are prohibited on huntique:
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, sexual harassment, stalking, or any conduct that targets, follows, or intimidates another user.
- Illicit recording or sharing of others without consent, including upskirt photos, hidden-camera footage, and non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Sexual content involving minors — absolute prohibition. Such content will be reported to authorities.
- Drugs, sex work, weapons, or other illegal goods/services — offering, soliciting, or coordinating any of the above.
- Violence, threats, doxxing, or promoting self-harm.
- Requesting personal data (real name, home address, financial info) from other users; sharing another user's personal data without consent.
- Spam, advertising, flooding, mass-DMs, bots and automation, and mass account creation.
- Service abuse — location spoofing, scraping, attempting to disrupt or overload the infrastructure, circumventing bans.
- Impersonating huntique staff, a public figure, or another user.
6. Adult content and nightlife rooms
Rooms whose host has flagged them as nightlife or adult-oriented are restricted to users who are at least 18 years old and who self-attest accordingly when entering. The following remain prohibited even in adult rooms: sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, sex work transactions, and any illegal conduct under the law of either the user's location or the location of the room.
7. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
- Every user, message, post, and comment has a report and block control. Reports are reviewed by huntique staff.
- Hosts can mute, ban, or remove members from rooms they create; huntique can override host decisions when policy is involved.
- Enforcement actions, in order of escalation: warning, content removal, mute, room ban, account suspension, account termination. Severe or repeat violations may skip steps.
- Accounts that have been the subject of multiple substantiated reports may be permanently terminated.
- See the Safety page for the full reporting and enforcement flow.
8. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if (a) you violate these Terms, the Safety rules, or applicable law; (b) your conduct creates risk or liability for huntique or other users; or (c) we are required to do so by a competent authority. Where reasonable and not prohibited, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond. You may terminate your account at any time from your profile screen.
9. Paid plans and billing
huntique offers optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional capabilities such as larger room capacity, longer-lived rooms, and host tools. Active plans and pricing are listed on the Pricing page.
- Subscriptions are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. Card data is handled by Creem and never reaches huntique servers.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for that plan.
- Applicable taxes and currency conversion are determined by Creem based on your billing location and shown at checkout.
- Failed renewal payments will be retried by Creem; if all retries fail, the subscription moves to an unpaid state and entitlements revert to the free tier.
10. Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time from Profile → Manage subscription, which opens the Creem customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access through that period and are not charged again.
11. Refunds
The full refund policy is published at /refund. In summary:
- Subscriptions: cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the paid period. Already-paid periods are non-refundable except for duplicate charges, billing errors, or where required by law.
- Event-based plans (one-time purchases tied to a specific event): full refund if requested 7+ days before the event start, 50% refund up to 48 hours before, no refund after that, except where huntique fails to deliver the core service.
- Service outage: if huntique is unavailable in a way that materially prevents you from using a paid feature you were entitled to, you can request a pro-rated refund.
- Consumer-protection laws (including the Korean Consumer Framework Act and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) override any narrower policy stated here where they apply.
12. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please email support@huntique.club before opening a chargeback. Chargebacks opened without first contacting us may result in the associated account being suspended pending review.
13. Service changes and availability
huntique is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or discontinue features for operational, technical, legal, or business reasons. Material changes that affect paid plans will be announced inside the app at least 14 days in advance.
14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, huntique disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for (a) interactions or disputes between users, (b) the accuracy of GPS or the reliability of network conditions outside our control, (c) loss of data, revenue, or profits resulting from your use of the service, or (d) events outside our reasonable control such as natural disasters, network outages, or actions of third parties. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid huntique in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold huntique harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located at the principal office of the huntique operating entity, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service or applicable law evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the app and reflected in the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
